Drew Blankenbaker is a farmer with Lifeline Produce and the co-founder and CEO of The Farmland Company, a community-based farmland investment company. Whether on the farm or in the schools, Drew has a passion for serving his community. Frustrated with a lack of transparency following the District’s bond and levy campaign, and the overdue need for change in Board leadership, Drew ran for and won election to the Hamilton School Board in 2018. Drew is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board and the Chair of the Communications Committee.

Drew has been engaged in community development efforts for over 15 years, currently serving on the City of Hamilton’s Board of Adjustments, the North Hamilton Urban Renewal District Advisory Board, the federally appointed Ravalli County Resource Advisory Committee for the Bitterroot National Forest, the Western Montana Growers Cooperative, and previously on the Ravalli County Open Lands Board. Before returning to the Bitterroot Valley in 2015, Drew was the Executive Director of the nationally recognized Clearwater Resource Conservation and Development Council serving the communities of north-central Idaho.

Drew received his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Idaho and an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Montana. Drew lives in Hamilton with his two sons, Henry and Owen.
